Training for Teachers in Palliative Care Foundation and Masterclass Courses 2018

This well established and internationally renowned course provides training in contemporary teaching methods and is aimed specifically for Health Care Professionals working in the field of palliative care. If you are a Doctor or Healthcare Professional who has worked in palliative and end of life care for more than two years, have some experience in teaching and would like to develop this area of your practice, this course is suitable for you.

Cheshire and Merseyside Palliative and End of Life Care Network Educator Development Programme

If you are a Nurse or Allied Health Professional working within a specialist palliative care setting or role then the new and exciting Educator Development Programme may be for you.  It will help you to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence in teaching where this is part of your clinical role.  The programme is facilitated by experienced Lecturers with a clinical background in palliative care and Post Graduate teaching qualifications.

Advance Care Planning (ACP) Training Programmes 2018

The Palliative Care Institute, Liverpool offers a number of interactive Advance Care Planning workshops and courses. You'll find our 2018 programme below, however the L&T team will always be happy to discuss your individual needs to help you find the most suitable course for you.

ACP 1 Day Workshop: Funded Course

ACP and Communication Skills: Facilitator Training: Funded Course

This ACP workshop and mentorship programme was developed by the North West Coast Learning Collaborative.  It provides support to enable you to deliver a specific 1 Day ACP training package to staff within your organisation/locality. If you already have a good knowledge and understanding of ACP, have undertaken advanced communication skills training and facilitate teaching, you may be interested in this course.  Supported by Health Education England.  2018 course dates are as follows:

Thursday 26th and Friday 27th April

Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th July

Implementing Advance Care Planning: Making the Change - Funded Course

This short course is suitable for Senior Health Care Professionals, working within the Liverpool locality and responsible for leading implementation of Advance Care Planning within their workplace. The course includes a number of individual workshops which examine the key components of Advance Care Planning and the process of implementation.
